Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

gun wip

started modelling a sig sauer p229 and i cant get the grip right, i wanna model an aftermarket grip rather than the stock one that came on the gun and its proving to be quite a big deal.

been working on this for 3 months (i work and am busy all the time so i only spend about 20 mins a month on it.)

so here it is so far, im not gonna do any rendering until its fully modelled, once its modelled then ill work on the textures and renders. but for now this is all it is.

Hey Turbo, havent seen you around in a long time.
Your gun is pretty good! I think you are referring to Rick_Stefani's gun that made the gallery. Keep in mind that half the detail was made in texturing and bump mapping.
Anyway, I like it.

ive been working more than usual but i dont have much updates to show.
it looks like i havent done much since the last update but i have done a lot, mostly small details and i totally rebuilt the grip from scratch.

blah this is taking longer to model than i wanted, but i want it to be good so ill keep at it.
i still have to finish off the base (where to see the clip) and i still have to model the other side of the grip as well as mirror and make minor changes to the rest of the gun.

after that i still need to make all my bumps and textures and start testing renders.

any comments?

merged a couple things and made it a bit easier on the eyes, again a ton more work but not much you can tell of a difference.

still have to merge the grip but im waiting until i finish the other side.
