well - let's see what you have so far. user added image

i would probably use a lattice to start deforming the cushions - i might also add a few bevels to the frame as it's looking a bit low poly.

Sure, I like it to be simple at first because it would be easier with the UV map. It fits after smoothing and bevelling anyway.

I was thinking.
Maybe I can break a leg in 2 and make the cushions a bit deeper, like someone sat on it. :p

Tnx!

you will probably need to re uv your model after bevelling as it adds new geometry.

a broken leg sounds cool.

Hello,

I think I do not have the time to do much more on this scene, so I guess that makes this the final render.

I don't know if there is any rule for the image size or anything, so if it's a problem just let me know user added image

Also, is there going to be a final render thread? If so, let me know too. user added image

Well here it is:

Please don't be too hard on me:blush: This is my first contest.

Thanks!

Not bad for a first contest shadowspy! I really like how you added the worn areas on the couch and the tear across the cushion.

The roughness of the bricks look a little big but overall I think it turned out pretty nice.

nice job mate - this has a good feel. i would definitely make the texture on the cushions smaller - i just don't think the weave would look that big - and also increase the bump.

Thank you arran!

I don't think I have the time to make major changes in the texture, but I guess I can add some more bump though.

Good luck with your entry!
