In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Hardware Rendering

Configuration:

AMD 64bit 4800+ X2 (Dual Core)
2Gb DDR400 Dual RAM
2 x 250Gb Seagate SATAII Raid0 Config
Sapphire Crossfire ATI Xpress 3200 Mainboard
1x Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 Crossfire Edition
1x Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XTX Crossfire Ready
Windows XP Pro x64 Edition
Maya 6

Problem:

Hardware Render - High Quality Lights Enabled
gives a messy shadow on Model.

What are the optimal settings for Hardware Render
and what other tips are there for HW rendering
as it cuts my render times by 120%...

Does the latest Maya support X64

Thank you.
