Using mismatched memory

Hi,

I've got two gigs installed (2x1 gig sticks) and I've got two slots free. I've got another 2 sticks of 1g each, though it's a different brand and slightly different speed.

I've I add those two, will I get any instability in maya?

cheers

As far as I know, most computers from the last eight years can only really use up to 4gigs of RAM anyway (mine is about 6 years old and has 3.5g, never been a problem) so you should be fine.

I'm not particularly tech savvy, but I can't imagine having more runtime causing any problems.
