i think Babyduck posted first... but who cares? you should both do it because both models are well underway and looking great

Hey Babyduck? what about the long fountain in front of the temple? Going to model that? water would make a nice contrast to the white marble

and about the fountain - i will add it - but not sprinkling water out - my reference pic has still water user added image - oh and the trees i try to make - maybe pfx.

needed a bit distance to modeling, so i messed a bit with the shader of the pool. hope this shots helps to convince the ppl of power that the format of the final render can be something else then landscape.

the pool? ah yes, it is a ocean shader tweaked to the needs of a little innocent big pool in front of the marble building.

i tried it too... but just isnt matching the scene.... i dont know much of texturing anyway... but trying to get the grass and the trees right, right now..

some progress - finished the poles. but the texture i put on is a bit off, have to work with that. and still need to put the trees in the scene.

oh i got it from here got it from download/textures. but i am not going to use it - i think i end up with a procedural marble as ground, and paint the details by hand.

just to show some progress. i played a bit with the lighting, now i think it looks good. added some trees, which are not at original builing - but a little artistic freedom might be allowed user added image.
