Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Polygons to create strings.

Should I use Polygons to create strings (just like guitar strings)?. I am trying to use them in my cravo project.

I would suggest nurbs for this, as it would be the quicker method.
(for me at least)

I would create my strings as degree 2 curves, complete with the tie-off at both the cranks at the neck, and the well between the pickups.

Then, create nurbs circles of the circumference of each string, and then extrude each circle to its' coresponding string curve.
