Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Love the z-brush model for that concept sketch fairdinkim_m8. I think you have translated the sketch to 3D very well.

Trying to get back into the swing of sketching more again.
This is this mornings skull and eyeball warm up sketch, a selection of eye sketches and a couple of other character doodles from the past few days. I'll see if I can dig out anything else worth posting, and will post some more bits as I do them.

I'll make this one in 3D some day. Till then I'll keep it as concept art on my dev art.

Awesome work Dango, love the skull and bloody eyeball piece! Some of the other sketches remind me of the "DEN" character from the movie 'HEAVY METAL" circa 1981.

@ Silverfeather

Thats really great work mate. My only critique would be giving your dragon a bit more depth.

I don't know how I could do that, I made it in Corel Photo-Paint and what I used mostly there were soft paints. I don't like hard color.
The sketching was done with pencil and paper though.

I'm not so experienced with shading on 2D so I tried to give it shades but not too dark. This is why I like 3D more than 2D, it leaves the shading pretty much to the computer. All you have to do is adjust the values.

Thanks Bullet and THX, glad you like them!
THX: Heavy Metal was cool, I think I had it on video about 20 years ago, who knows what happened to that. Might have to see if I can find it again, would be good to see it.
I'll have some more bits done soon, thankfully I have plenty of creative time at the mo!

I vaguely know of the mag but dont remember the bloody fillum!!!

Try making a new layer Silver and using grey only shade it that way then use it as an overlay or similar.

Thanks for the tips. At the moment I'm not going to make any new 2D stuff or edit this one since I still have to model some stuff on Maya for that new test I want to make with physics/camera movement and lighting. I never used the layers even though I've had Corel for a long time now.
