wow an you have an insane amount of detail being put into this, i see why your thinking of doing a sort of fly through, it would be a shame to not be able to show the detail in the quality it deserves.

Wouldnt wana be around when this thing emptys its cargo.

Well all the blocking in is done and I`m very happy with the shape. Now its just a case of filling in the open areas with some more details. It is a little longer than I planned at first and the front end changed a little but it still looks kick ass.

not a prob - you know for years I thought I made that show up in my head as I only ever caught the show once and no one I knew had ever heard of it - that was until last year when they released the complete boxset - it still looks so cool.

Ha ha, I had the same thing with the show Ulysses 31, I used to have dreams with a character that had a shield that came out of a wrist band, and a gun that folded itself up and turned into a sword, then I found out that the shield came from that cartoon! Not sure about the fold up sword/gun, if I did make that up at the age of 6 that was pretty cool!

I loved Ulysses 31. This months HMC over at cgtalk has bourght back sooooo many memorys.

Just imagine the nightmares kids are going to have with today's kids tv - no wonder they all play video games now - huh 80`s tv kicked ass.
( and before you say thats because there was no computer back then - I had a computer from the age off 3 - and I always turn the comp of for my tv shows)

Well I thought I`d get the background out the way before starting to texture this beast. But I`m having a little problem with my Earth.

I`m trying to get the rim glow that you get with the planet but its not working. I have 3 spheres 1)ground and sea, 2) clouds, 3) Atmosphere - the one not working.

Does any one know how to help me here.
