Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Pipes!!

THought that I would show you guys what it is that I do at work. I modeled most of this In Maya, but a good portion of it was done in Pds And Microstation. THe scene with everything refereced in weighs in at 1,4xx,xxx faces! I will post a few images, if you have anyquestions please let me know. Bassically, I am showing how this Unit (HRSG) is put together, By Nooter/Eriksen. Can't really post anything on the animation, but I can throw some still shots up here, Its still a WIP, I only have about the casing, Coils (go inside the casing) and the High pressure pipes (red) the Low pressure pipes (blue) and some of the Intermediate pipes (yellow).
If you have seen some of my other post you know this isn't exactly my cup of tea, but its a start. I would appreciate any questions or comments you may have. THanks,
Brian

Here is the inside of the casing...

Unfortuantly I am the only one here who knows how to do modeling and animation, so I have to do this on my own start to finnish.

I apologise about the different lighting and such, the final animation will have the same lighting.

and here is a pic of one of the coil mod. drains. THanks, if you want to see a pic of anything else please let me know. The final animation is going to be around 18,000 frames!! it will take almost 20 days : ( render on just my machine. I also have a dual xeon. Does ne body know if there is a network render that does not requrire maya to be on all of the other machines?? That would save so much time, we have about 21 P4's 1.8, but none of the have Maya. : ( We only have one seat in Maya. Thanks,
Brian

Lol. Yeah thats funny. One of the benifits of using an animation instead of real footage.
