Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

................... Mike, I looked just 2 hours ago and you had the head and those snake heads modelled, and you already have all of that. Wow. Great job.

Mike/Kurt, do you keep a library of heads and other models to re-use cos if you dont, then your speed is impressive.

The only "stock"models I have are of necks, eyes, nose, and ears. I don't have full "heads" lying around. user added image But even so, I don't just "plug" these shapes together. I usually heavily modify them to suit a specific purpose.

I didn't think such things were allowed for this challenge, though, so I built this one from scratch. The more you do something, the quicker it goes, believe me. user added image

And I've still got some work to do. The head doesn't really look like my drawing yet. I'm going to add eyes to at least 2 of the snakeheads, convert the nurb snakenecks to polys and merge them with the heads. user added image Should look pretty gnarly when all put together. user added image

EDIT: I should mention that I made all the "stock" models I use... I don't cheat and grab free models from wherever. lol user added image
