Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

this is insane, I need to get the patience to build like this. Looks awesome. Also I wish i could read your tutorial that you put a link to but you have to sign up to that messageboard and I don't know how much I really need to sign up to it. Is there anyway you could e-mail it to me or link to the tutorial straight from here?

I saw your rendering tutorial, and it was awesome. But I was wondering (probably will sound very dumb), you went from polygons to subdivs right? Im working with polygons now for the ferrari F50 but I can't make it nearly as clean as yours. I have triangles everywhere. Oh, and how were you able to get your lights so accurately textured?

@The maya man - no i just hit smooth, cause i know that subdivs and mental ray dont get along all the time, dunno if that has been fixed in 8.5. the lights are all modeled nothing here is textured

Also if anyone wants to see the tut i can send it to you just pm me, its not great but its my first tut, when im done with my concept car i will be writing another one on tire and rim modeling.
