Right now, Im not really sure. I was thinking a future\si-fi colony at civil war. But it could very easily change...

Okay Im pretty content on this now.

A small Martian Colony is rebeling against the galatic government.

In the pic im thinking of a urban scene of choas:
modern buildings in ruin with a sci-fi type battle taking place...

looks like a good start to the basic body shape

the head looks like you need to get some good reference shots and study the position of the eyes more. It might be helpful to try another couple of heads and experiment with them user added image

Your right I should model another head, but here is what I have done so far with the body.

He is going to be a martin soldier. I took renders on my way through making him. (I know this isnt the greatest thing ever, but it is by far the best work Iv done in my 4 months of learning maya. I am very proud of him)

In chronological order:

Eldwick, I have tried that hobbit guy tutorial. It's a fine tutorial; however, if you don't pay attention to every step, you will get lost in it pretty fast. I like simple tutorials. They help teach one alot easier.
