Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

youre definately on the right track.

but, if you get better references it may look much better.

and dont be afraid to scatter the verts far from each other.

this way u dont get a rigid look , since musculature is generally "softbody-like"

sweet, thanks vlad, good tip. i will take more care moving them appart where they dont need to be close. Ive worked more on the back, looks a stack better now. And have found some better ref pics for muscles that have helped user added image legend,
