Frame Rate Settings Impact

Hello,
I was googeling around for that question but couldn't find a suitable answer for myself.
Hopefully it's not too greenhornish user added image

At the moment I'm working on a student project and the question popped up due to problem with asynchron audio.
We set our frame rate in Maya to 24fps and did the whole animation and rendered them out as single EXR frames.
Now the question:
Has the fps setting any impact on how much frames Maya renders or is this up to your postpro software (we use After Effects) on how you interpret those EXRs?

Thanks in advance user added image

Yes the Maya frame rate setting does affect the number of frames rendered. A 5 second animation at 60fps is 300 frames, a 5 second animation at 24fps is a 120 frame image sequence. And yes, AE needs to interpret the footage as you intended or you'll run into some pacing issues.
