Ocean Tutorials?

I know the Maya fluid effects has some presets for dropping in an ocean, but I want to make some tweaks. There are several objects with many many settings; I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Does anyone know of any good tutorials for this?

Thanks,
-dann

instead of using fluids you could just use the ocean shader. pretty easy to tweak as most settings let you guess what it is. just start from scratch and dont use a ocean shader preset ....

Theres a really good tutorial in the book Maya 4.5 Fundamentals to make a little lake with just a plane. It even has waves. You dont need to use fluids effects. Heres the link to see the animation you make with it. https://www.mayafundamentals.com/
Click on Movies and then download the second animation.
