Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Almost looks like you parented several air and turbulance fields to the bottom of the stick. How close am I?

Glad you guys like it, I'm still not getting the exact results that I want though. The scene only has two fields. A very small turbulence field, and an air field that does about 95% of the movement that you see.

Just for you guys I'll create a detailed tutorial and paste the link soon. It's pretty simply, believe it or not but what you see in the movie took me about 5 minutes to create.

I finally got the look I wanted. Like in reality, the water in front of the object pops up a bit, and the water behind the object collapses, ripples, and twirls around.

This one is a bit bigger, about 347KB
