Incredibly good work both of you!! I just wish I could approach that standard, or had that ampunt of artistic ability - I draw like a 1 year old!!!

I know you guys have been probably asked a million times but how do start off modelling your characters??

Do you use basic nurbs shape (i.e. cylinder, sphere) or draw curves then create surfaces??

Or do you use polys??

cheers

rich

cb8rwh.... I have a kinda wired way of starting a model.. I use nurbs primatives or nurbs curves and shape it a close as I can to the object I want to model

Once I have the shape and proportions, I convert the nurbs into polys. Than its just a matter of tweaking and pulling to start adding the details.... I add detail by switching back and forth between polys and sub-d. Sub-ds are a loy easier to pull than the vertices on a poly=)... Hope that helps

Kurt

Didn't really have a lot of time to work on her today, as I've been job-hunting and such. But I think the model is pretty much done for now. The hem of her robe isn't all that impressive, but my plan is to have her emerging from a pool of some sort, so you won't see that part of the robe in the final.

Also, I've had a couple complaints regarding the visible nipple, so I've "covered" it sorta. :p

Also, I made this belt-type thing... don't know if I'll keep it for now. What do you guys think?

I've also given her hips a slight shift to her right... gives her cooler stance, I think.

Thanks!
