My feeling is that this is a single person using a script to generate to random user name and to fake their IP (hence the different ones) and it looks like it is faking its post count also. Maybe the Mods need to approach the Site Admins (Tubby is around) and ask them to add the security to registration, like the random number generator so many other forums have. This would kill the script use and then would mean you have to manully register. Script twats like these are too lazy to register manually, it means they actually have to think about what the are doing.
My conclusion is we are being attacked due to this little security issue, if this was plugged with the addon, then we should be able to minimise this kind of annoyance. This is another reason why community forums can close down, as people stop visting. Out of 18 thread update emails I got since 1am GMT today, only 3 were genuine. If this is to continue during the holidays then things look dire. Action by SM admins need to happen sooner rather than later.
