duplicate things

hello, when ever i try to duplicate things like a wall from a house or barn, I change the coordinates like X 25 to X-25 etc and when i click on duplicate the object is bigger and its located in a totally different location?

goto edit=>duplicate ■


(remember to click the small box in the menu, to bring up duplicate options menu)

then, from duplicate options menu goto

edit=> reset settings

then duplicate

or an easier way is hold down control(ctrl) and then hit "c".

when you change the numbers in coordinates box, if it dosnt work... try selecting everything you want to copy over and then group it and modify --> freeze transformation and then go to edit and delet history then centre pivot the point by clicking delet and playing it in the centre if you get what i mean user added image

Try resetting the duplicate settings as it might have some funkey values/settings etc that could be causing the problem.
