my green monster head

not a project - just having a bit of fun - work is modeling objects all day at the moment in nurbs acording to a plan and this is just something I did for the hell of it. I don't think it will go any further than this - just don't have the time. Anyway - thought I'd post his pretty face anyway just for fun. I tried doing some sculpting of a nurbs surface with artisan for a while and then converted to polys. Somehow I left history off and can't find any smoothing groups in the hypergraph so I'm not able to go back to an earlier unsmoothed version. Dumb. Just threw a skin shader on, made it green and put a leather bump on it. That's it. C & C as always appreciated but must say this isn't likely to be developed any further. He'd have been right at home in the hell contest eh? (canadian speak) user added image eh M? How bout those sad canucks. Damn shame. 7 - 2.

Hey el_newty - thanks!

the skin shader is downloaded from highend3d i believe and just serves as the basis for skin - I changed the color to green and added a 'leather' bump map - one of the standard choices in maya

very simple - I just wanted to get some sort of texture on. I like it a lot tho and if I were to work further with this character I think I would take this texture and doctor it in photoshop. hm... maybe i can find time to do that.

Hey ereitz, i really like this head and it would of definately fit right at home with the Hell challenge user added image.. and yea, that is a nice shader user added image. About the canucks.... holy.....crap, that was a horrible game user added image, oh well.. they are still up 3 to 2 user added image, one more win and they got it!

thanks M

yeah, i don't know if the canucks deserve to win the way they've been playing. and the wild are so boring.

i watched dallas and annaheim for a good game - too bad about dallas
