Asia girl - WIP

Its been a REALLY long time since I have posted a WIP, it has been a busy time with the baby and with freelance projects. But now I have a little time on my hands again, so here we go.

I suddenly set in my mind that I wanted to build a head, with perfect edge loops and perfect quads (usualy I cheat so I have a few triangles here and there), so I set out modeling and constructing the basic shape of a head.

And you all know how the mind drift away and slowly you build strange stories in your mind, while modeling. Anyway, my mind drifted to asia, and it struck me that I never had modeled anything else than europeans. So slowly I changed the model into an asian female.

This is the first image in this WIP, and I will post more as I get along with the project, so please bare in mind that its my first time modeling a person from Asia and remember that this is after 4 or so hours of modeling.

More adjustments made to the eye area, the chin and the cheeks to achive a more female look. The general roundness, such stuff.. also added some iris stand-ins, to help getting it all right.

Man what a great model. I really like to model things in 3d and specially female faces because I think if you can make a great female face, you can model anything because the female head has to be perfect or else would be a bad model. If you can tell me what I have to do to make such a perfect head like yours, or what metod you use to make your caracters heads. I am always thinking in betters ways to make head's, somethimes I see the faces of the people in wireframe, Am I going mad?........

I deleted your double post..

Anyway look at my website in the Case Studies area.. theres some tutorials that should give you the basic idea how to model using the technique I use . .

Hey Cali... I see on your website that you are in the process of modeling an SLK320. I used to own one of those - and in silver too! Will you be completing that project? I'd love to see the final render!

That'll do donkey... that'll do...

I doubt it.. I proved my point that I can model a photoreal car using SubDiv, and will let Brian Ellebracht continue modeling cars user added image

I kinda lost the feeling for the car project after I got some TV commercial projects, it was kinda hard to get back into the project - so so need to waste more time doing that user added image

its a beautyfull car tho user added image

I have been working a bit more on the model. I have mostly been doing some hair style testings, but also found some time on reshaping the head into a more female looking shape.

You can see on the attached image how the shape has changed from the male to the female look, just by adjusting points. No additional geometry was added. I guess it just show how important the tweaking phase is on every single object you make.

Anyway, tell me what you think I can adjust to make it more female.

Ohh yeah, Male'ish to the left, Femal'ish to the right.

Thanks
