perhaps its time to change the challenge forum to something a bit more collaborative. After all the industry is all about collaboration.

Solo challenges probably put people off if they are crap at texturing or modelling or lighting.

why not add a rule to allow more than one person per entry.

Just a thought.

Could be right Dom, I think a lot of it has to do with time as well, full times parents/workers etc probably just dont have time in the day, yours truly as an example.

Or there could be donated scenes that people can:

texture
or
light/shade
or
animate
or
run sims/fx

Depending on the challenge. Instead of doing every single thing from scratch.

My first win was a texturing one - Mikey posted up 5/6 models and we had to uv and texture.

A good challenge for everyone to do...model an everyday object...something real world that you use everyday, from around your home. Takes some photos and model it, and if you can or want to, render a turntable of it. or as suggested collaborate with one other person...
