Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Half Full is correct.

Explanation: If you have a full glass, you can extract half of it. However, how can you extract half of an empty glass. It's like saying the universe is half infinite (which is still infinite).

Hope this settles the argument.

Full=1
Empty=0
1 divide by .5=0.5(half full) but 0 div by .5 does not equal .5

And if you deduct a half from that half, then you get a quarter of a glass full; one-quarter full is most certainly not one-quarter empty user added image

So would you say Barman: I'd like a half empty pint of lager?

Course not...he fills it half or fills to a pint, he doesn't fill it then empty it to a half so you can have a half pint of an empty glass.

Its half full because when you start its empty.

Ha, ha, ha! Boy do I feel smart now. Half is either 1 div by 2 or 1 X .5

anyway, you can say "The glass is half emptied" but I still don't think its correct to say"The glass is half empty". Although you could say the glass is half filled or half full.

Then again I don't even know what 1 divided by .5 is (hehe).

one divided by .5 is two...

but that's beyond the point. before it can be half empty it has to have been full at one point. and before it can be half full it has to have been empty at one point.

the way i see it, half empty is better, because you have consumed half of it... and if you haven't, then someone owes you a drink cause they've been sipping from your drink user added image

I've always said, if you're pouring the glass of water and it's half way, then it's half full. If you just drank from a full glass of water and half of it's gone, then it's half empty... I don't care who you argue with, this usually gets them quiet about it. Or it'll make them think a little more before their next comment... unless drunk then none of it will make sence and no one will remember user added image
