Android Tablets

Hey all i was thinking of getting a cheap tablet for about 200usd now when i do a search on ebay the only companys that are willing to ship them to kenya are chinese accounts and i dont trust their products at all(I wanted to buy a nokia n96 and instead i got a NOKLA n96

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The cheaper tablets are pretty awful to be honest. They are jumping on the bandwaggon with poor interface and hardware design.

I'm gonna wait till the end of the year and see what happens with them in terms of development and price.

I'm with gster123 on this one I don't want an ipad but there is nothing else that really jumps out at me yet user added image

You could just root a nook color and install android cheap and easy user added image

When they mature a bit I reckon that I'll get one, I could do a lot of the work that I do on one tbh, (not Maya work obviously).

Readking books and such would be great. The Ipad is a little too large for me having played about with one.

Looking forward to see what happens with Honeycomb and when more come along.

i just need something to watch movies and read books dont need it to be really powerful and i really dont like apple products

I still think the nook color is your best bet then mate cheap and it will play movies and stuff if you stick andriod on it

A cheap tablet will have a rubbish screen with poor resolution, again a hardware compormise.

Its your cash though, I would see if you can have a look in a shop for a few.

from what i've seen of other tablets they all arent as smooth as an ipad.
but if you don't mind the lag and stutter of the android tablets then go ahead and get one.

i wouldnt get one though, either apple or android. although adobe is releasing a photoshop for the ipad that works with the desktop one
