then what about an ATI FIRE GL X1??? OR A QUADRO 4??

Been looking at the Wildcats and Quadros and can't make an informed decision.
And now with the improved Hardware rendering in Maya 5 this confuses the situation for me.
Pros and cons of each?

And being one top of the line, hell, you can expect excellent mid-term support for the product.
**EDIT** Sorry, ... I missunderstood the thread, the Quadro FX 1000 ranging from 750$ to 900$ might be a bit overboard for the current 300$ budget our friend told he had. So I guess it would have to be a more scaleable solution, and perhaps not so big in scope.
