There is a little artifacting in that one.. but not to bad.. Its good for tests.. I would raise the amount on FG for a final render as it will take care of that and the bit of boxyness in the shadow under it. But for testing renders this setting looks fine. Not sure what the model is.. But Keep at it, sometimes its hard at first to learn how to get what you want out of the polygons. Just takes some brute force.

oh well see what the tutorial said was that this was for test renders. so i guess it wasnt meant to be final

you said "not the ball but the /realism/ of the ball"... well i mean, it's definately not real looking, kinda nice still user added image
