Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Lofting Quality Issues

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to Maya, and 3D modeling in general, so bear with me, as this problem may be fairly "newb-ish"...

I'm trying to model a square box with smooth curved sides. I decided that in order to get this I would have to use curves and the loft tool--right?

I managed to set up the curves and loft the sections without any hardship. However, upon rendering my work thus far, I noticed, much to my dismay, that the edges to the lofted wall were very low-poly. Here's a picture: user added image

Is there a way to make these look better?

Thanx
