bevel problem

in some cases when i try to bevel a cube after i have extruded a couple of faces it makes a huge white mark pointing down. why is this

That would seem like a video card issue... have you checked to see if you have latest drivers?

yea i have the latest ones but i have a nvidia geforce 4 64 meg card

I had the same issue long time ago - I had also the latest Detonator drivers (make sure you have the latest) - if that is not working then what I did was delete the maya folder in you "my Documents) and then restart maya - it will create a new maya folder and then try again - that solved it for me.. I hope it will do it for you

I think you should try deleting your preferences in that folder first though... you might not wish to delete your work as well user added image

looks like your seeing some of what we at pcclub call artifacting... change your drivers or you card...
