Im realy looking for feed back on the UVs, mainly looking at the turret was not happy with the distortion so cut more seams witch allowed me to spread the uvs better............dave

Just loaded RoadKill boy does that speed up unwrapping uvs, some thing that was taking me 10 minutes now only takes 2..............dave

It does. But be sensible and tweak the uvs. Dont just be dictated to just because its unwrapped it. It will layout shells etc real nice but you can help yourself by still relaxing the uvs and stitching them up for less seams

Yep im still going around each UV thats created to check for stretching all I am saying is it gets me to a position where I can do that quickeruser added image...........dave

what version are you using Dave? I just downloaded rk1.1 rc3, although the installer say rc2.

Found a use full mel script for transfering a lot of UVs from one mesh in one go, its from CreativeCrash and its called Poly_UV_Transfer, still UVing this is the hardest part so far still tweeking it...........dave

This is precisely why I enjoy modeling and not so much texturing. How long did it take you to model the entire tank vs just the time to unwrap it? I know some people enjoy the zen of unwrapping but not I. LOL

To be fair I have not been doing the UVs like I did the modelling, bit of overwhelmed at the beginning then a case of some organizing and of cause the time of year, If I was using roadkill at the beginning would have been a bit faster.............dave

Edit:Would like to see how some one in the business would do it
