Converting lightwave ~> maya

Ok people i need the best software for converting from lightwave to maya and if it is posible i need link to the site from where i can download it for free!!!

The best free option for transfering data between applications is to use Kaydara's FBX plugin. You can install the plugins for both Lightwave and Maya, then export to FBX and import into your destination program.

You need to download the FBX Plugins. Just go to the downloads section or the FBX pages.
