Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

rendering problem

I'm having problems rendering Iges files in maya. All the surfaces appear to be trimmed when selected but the objects when rendered appear full of gaps (see attached pics of a spray cap).
Any Ideas?

Marcus

Tried that but it had no effect on the image. Are there any Iges plugins for Maya? or any other dodges that might work?

Many Thanks,

Marcus

Where's that? Just looked for it but it's not under tesselation or advanced tesselation. Am using Maya 4.0.

Thanks,

*edit* (with shape node selected) open attribute editor>options>smooth edge.
doesnt always comepletely remover such probs, but usually helps a lot

I'll take a look when i get back from work.. was sure it was in the tesselation tab though user added image
