maintaing curvature on an object when cutting hole

Hi,

modeling a snes controller. All is well apart from one problem.

I'm trying to make the holes to house the shoulder buttons, but when I do so, the curvature of the shoulder is dented (as shown in the image).

how can I but in and sill maintain that curvature?

cheers

Extride inwards and add an extra loop to sharpen the edge.

Looks like your using the smooth poly preview.

Hi gster,

yeah that's what I've done (extruded and added a loop) and this is the result. Also, I am using the preview but the result is the same if I apply a smooth.

cheers
