size setting

hi guys, i want to import my video clip into maya 2011 that i export from after effect cs3. the size is 720*576. how to make the exact size in maya?user added image

are you using it as a reference or something? the best way I know of is to make a poly plane that exact size, then add the reference as a texture and make sure you select image sequence...this will allow the video to play as you move in the time line for each frame.

hi i know make the poly plane for putting the video clip but the size of video clip is 720*576, how to make the plane as size of 720*576?

Just create a poly plane, and in the creation options, input 7.2 for X and 5.76 for Y or Z. That will give you the right proportions. Is that what you're asking?

hi stwert yes. that means if i want make 1280*720 screen size then in the input that i put 12.80 n 0.72. which is move backward 2 decimal point?

The decimal point doesn't really matter. If you do 720 by 1280, the plane will be huuuuge. You can do any ratio that is the same, it's just a question of fractions really.

But to answer your question, almost, it would be 12.8 by 7.2... (not 0.72). If it looks right in the viewport, it's probably right.

oh ic, tq stwert, because i want to rotate the video clip along v model i create so the size i need to be accurate.
