Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Camera Rotation Axis and Trackball Rotation Again

Hi I created following thread originally in technical issues forum but after two/three days of waiting I tought it may be the wrong forum for this topic.

This may seems little straightforward but I did lots of research on this but I couldnt find anything useful. Can I use trackball rotation with Maya? I mean with a normal 3 button pc mouse. I used to use Blender and it gives you a choice between turntable style rotation and trackball rotation. I also know that Modo is the same. So I think there should be a way to do this in Maya. And yes I know about Roll tool but it is not intuitive at all. You have to use that tool every time you want to roll your camera, I am looking for a tool that combines tumble and roll.

Thank You

Maya has no trackball style rotation. As far as I am aware Maya and Max use turntable style rotation with the mouse.

Thanks. Is there a way to assign a mouse key to a command, like a hotkey?? For example I dont use right mouse zoom I use scroll wheel instead so can I use right mouse button to roll the camera?
