it´s been a whille... i decided to improve the quality of the render for my bmw m5 series, i think its more "photorealistic" but im still not happy with the result, the enviroment is temporary so dont mind it. the hdri i used is pretty common, ill try some with higher resolutions when i have the chance. I havent redone any modelling
this image was rendered in Maya with MR and HDRI, at 1600x1200 in 10 minutes on a Dual Opteron 2.6 with 2gb Ram

WOW, great work. Seriously, It looks like something that you can touch. But one thing I have noticed is you windshield. In all of your renders the glass on the car (excluding the headlights) have changed effects alot. I never really got the feel though that any of them were as close to realistic as your car. They always were grainy or blurred, or the reflection wasent always right. So just a little critisicm.

But you said you wanted citicizm, so here it goes.
I have no room to talk, because thats like my favorite car and you did a great job modeling it, but the crits come.

Rims
Where the spokes blend into the actual rim, the blending area needs to enlarge
Render:
Too shiny, and try to get the deep blue look thats so popular to the BMW cars.

First Attempt?! Holy F***K! That is awesome. I am new to Maya, and am going for organic shapes first. How did you do that first final render, with the vector like effect?
