Animation Controls

Hi all, hope everyone had a good christmas user added image
Just a quick question, does anybody know how I can add my character animation controls to a layer without the layer overiding the colours i've assigned to the controls i.e blue head control, green foot control etc. Thanks
James.

Only thing I can think of is to not assign a color to the layer. That way, the object wireframe colors are retained.

Have you tried assigning the custom colors after you've assigned the controls to layers?
