This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Thanks for the criticism, It helps alot! I'll do that! Any more criticism is still welcome though. The guy is not in a shirt, its his skin. And the green beer label is like Heinekin or Becks.

What if you put his whole body onto the conveyor belt? That would be an awesome scene. Make the viewer guess at what has happened by putting another drunkard in the scene laughing his head off.

Just an idea user added image

Lol, good idea, but I don't have time to do that. Sorry, I have a contest to do with Total Rookie, so the only thing I do with this is tweaking and adding as CC goes. Sorry. But it is a good Idea.
(PS not skilled enough either, but don't tell anybody user added image)

Now, I have two images. One is after photoshop blur, and one is before. Which one do you think will look better? Photoshop?

Thanks for the comments, peeps, but, because so far both of the verisons were accepted (photoshop and no photoshop), I will probably wait for more opinions. Cheers guys.

If I were to pick one, I'd say the photoshop one, but only if you could do the blur in different layer, right now the blur is the same, if you know what I mean. Like the blur in forground would be stronge, and as to get closer to the point of focus (the character) the blur would be less and less. Right now its stronge blur to no blur! But then again maybe this is a style you are aiming for. Why don't you use maya or mental ray DOF? This would make things easier and take less time to do.

If you don't know how to use DOF, I would be more then happy to helpuser added image

Ok, here is hows it done.

1. Create a camera

2. go to camera view.

3. Go to Display > Heads Up Display > Object Details. Now you should have a Distance From Camera: up in your right hand screen.

4. Select the object of focus, (that you want to be the focus point)

5. There should be a number of the distance from your camera to the focus object. Like 7.473.

6. Go into your camera attributes.

7. Go down to the Depth of Field, click on the little white box that says Depth of Field. In Focus Distance, put in the number that is in your upper right screen under "Distance From Camera"

8. In F Stop, I always put in like around 50. If you put in let say 5. the DOF blur is really stronge. The 50. is what I use for the slauhterhouse martyr sceneuser added image

Anyways hope that helps.
