Looks more like a river to me :p Looks real good tho. The texure on the water looks abit wierd.

Looks a little dark. Try changing the background to a sky.

Yeah... I was thinking tha its too dark also.

If you want to keep it dark, i think a moon and stars in the background would make it look nice.

maybe some different textures for the wood and stone? They look a bit too repetitive to me.
In the tutorial database of this site, there's a link to some sites that have a lot of free textures.
