Create Curve from Edges - Bonus Tools

I'm using Maya 6 Complete. Create Curve from Edges - one of the bonus tools doesn't seem to work. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm getting the error:

Error: Wrong number of arguments on call to createCrv.

This tells me nothing because I've tried all combinations from 1 edge to several. I've turned history on and off. I've deleted history. I've saved, shut down etc.

ideas?

crvOnPoly.mel

Hi guys - apparantly Maya 6.0 is a little buggy in places.

crvOnPoly.mel by Steven T. L. Roselle and updated for maya 6.0 by john_homer does the same job tho with fewer options.

I've attached the updated file which I found on cgtalk.

So for anyone wondering why you might want to use this script, if you're a member of the alias community go to:

https://www.alias.com/eng/community/t...es/index.jhtml

Basically it's using a curve with history made from a poly object to control eyelashes. You could make curves from a nurbs surface, made from a subd surface but if you want to use the same technique for a poly model you would want to take a curve from the edges. Well, that's the theory anyway. See if it works...
