Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I have couple of songs from the movie soundtracks, my favoritie is John Powel's Face off theme.

But usually I dont listen to the music when working in Maya because it's affecting your mood and so your creations.

You're animateing a happy cartoony creature with depresing sounds of Dido in the background--->no way.

Tnx everyone for suggestions!
I must also say that Baldurs gate 2 has, at least for me, the best music of all games ever!

Try www.pandora.com

you put in a few bands you like, and then it finds you music that you will like. then you say you like them, or you dont, and it works off that!

I've noticed that listening to classical music while using Maya can help you think better. It's soft enough to keep your head thinking smooth.

Honestly? Wow... well.. I really would not like to listen to classic music using Maya...

Allister (see avatar) is an awesome band
Blink 182
Fall Out Boy
Brand New
hellogoodbye (they are so funny)
Mest
Sum 41
New Found Glory
No Use For A Name
Gob

but for good punk/metal and metal bands:

Finch
Dead Poetic
AFI
Midtown
some Brand New songs are heavy

They are ok... EMO/Metal style. I much prefer punk rock and heavy punk music.

edit [spitalfield is good too]

Wow, what is with all this scary guitar music?

I know you asked for goth / metal, but personally I like to listen to electronic music. Cliqhop on Somafm.net is excellent. Also BBC Radio 1 (great for guitars, dance, pretty much everything..)

Autechre, Underworld, Aphex twin, Squarepusher, Chemical Brothers, Wagon Christ, Isolee, blah, blah, blah

Blink 182?? no, no, no... I know I sound like an old fart, but grab yourself a copy of Surfer Rosa by the Pixies. :bandit:

And if all else fails... NPR baby. That's where it's at.

"To each one's own."

We can't all like the same music. We'd all be listening to Britney Spears user added image
