Hi all;

I dont know what Im doing with this rendering, but I would like some tips please. I have this weird effect on the top of the shelf as seen by the arrow.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix it?

check the hardness of the edges
display > polygons > soft/hard edges
experiment toggling the edges of the face between hard and soft

or it could (but quite unlikely) be from intersecting geometry

Well I deleted the polygon shelf and made a new one--that seems to have done the trick...for now. Thanks all for your help!
