Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

one thing you might consider is the technique of adding geometry only as you desperately need it. You might be starting off a bit high.

also, reference images can work wonders in improving a face's construction.

coming along pretty well. Just has some anatomy and proportion issues to work out. Take a look at reference photos, if you've not.

more updates

i cleaned up the mesh quite a bit by removeing a bunch of un-needed verts and edges witch got rid of a lot of the lumps that were laying around here and there... give me more advice people tear it apart user added image

thats coming along real nice. i have trouble making human heads but that one ref. pic i just saw posted here cleared up areas i was confused in. have fun man!
