This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
smooth binding means that a point can be a member of more than one set. Whereas rigid binding means that it can only ever be a member of one. So what howard said is essentially true, however you can still use rigid binding on organics
