Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Sweet models dude.

@ FrenZy - the Mouth of Sauron is mentioned towards the end of the book before the last Battle started. He talks to Gandalf the White and tries to make a deal with him to surrender.

hey all and thanks alot!

regarding the cavetroll. . i was a RPG convention in Denmark where some of the conceprt artist from weta where speaking, and they showed pictures from LOTR, and the was some of the cavetroll with out his cloth, and i figured since i could not make that cloth thing he has on, move nicely on my lowpoly character why make it.. .so there he is... the cave troll . . butt naked. . user added image and a hole lot easyer to animate user added image

I am hoping to post new pictures of the horse today, trying to make it more massive, looks a bit fragile and skinne i think and then hopefully some more on the sumo/samoan texture.

David that normal map makes it look much better. Im wondering, did you use zbrush or just the standard maya tools for that?

@orgeeizm

the model on the picture is the highpoly model i am going to use as a normal map, but hopefully the lowpoly with the normal map is going . . something like that user added image

i used both maya and Zbrush, i gave the the poly model alot more volume i maya and then i imported it to Zbrush to give it the blood veins scars, and so on, and now i am taking it back to maya so do the tail with the sculp tool.
