Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping

Looking good, the only thing that bothers me is that the eyes seem a little too far apart.

I rebuilt the geometry and turned all triangles into quads as Sav1989 said..

and I put the eyes closer together as RubberChicken said..

The block on the right is going to be used for the ear..

its going along pretty well, keep at it! i know that youre just beginning so i wont pressure you on your anatomy (esp the face user added image) but itll be nice to keep a reference on the side just so your mind doesnt get used to that certain look.

A anatomy problem I can see is the body looks to short for him. BUT that is unless you are working towards some goal we don't know about. Like a particular cartoon look. If there are cretin things you are working towards thin maybe a short description or concept sketch could help . Maybe some references you like.

It's looking good though. I can tell your putting the time in to improving it.

actually, im going to not use that head and do something different, because my goal is to do something slightly sereal, and to make it look real.. so, im going to make the guy wear large mask with long hair in the back that sticks up...

Im trying to go for the majoras mask guy look, if any of you have played that zelda game..

edit: heres a link, hes the guy in the center. https://www.zeldauniverse.net/downloa...ajoras18x6.jpg

Hehe, I loved that game! user added image I really miss playing my old N64 system....*sigh* those were the days.... :p Are you trying to make him look like SkullKid or like Link? If you want him to look like the SkullKid, he should definately be a lot skinnier. user added image

The first shot made me think "Zelda". You are definately getting there.

Good work.

heres a better pic

https://www.jeux-online.ff.st/V5/Artworks/Skull+Kid.JPG

edit: I have a question, when you delete a face, and smooth the object with the deleted face, it doesnt smooth the edges on the deleted face, do I have to move each vertice my self to simulate the smooth..

by the way.. Im going to start over and make the skull kid...

Im doing this because I find there will be rigging, and cloth problems with the previous model, and such, so I dont want to bother with it.. but thanks for all the helpful comments and suggestions on the previous one!

hey. real nice start. yea i love playing zelda : ocarina of time more than any other game. that game totally rocks. i only noticed 1 thing. on his shoes in the reference, there is a slant front the top to the bottom of the foot. urs is more flat. and that circle thing on his ankle is larger kinda like its connecting the ankle and the foot in the ref
