This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Car wheel/tyre

guys

what would be the best way to make a wheel/tyre?

I'd probably make a cylinder for the main wheel shape and for the treads, make a strip of detailed geometry and duplicate them along the surface of the wheel.

hi guys , i may can help :bandit:

First : Start with a plane 200x25 with 14 segments. these numbers will vary slightly depending on what type of tread your modeling.
then Extrude , duplicate ur unit with (55 to 56 ) units , then make them all groub and finally Bend them tell u have ur final rounded tyre tube Wooooow nice , is it ?! user added image
