UV-texture editor

Hello,

I'm pretty new to maya and especially new to texturing and rendering. I have searched the forum without results and the maya help. How do i import a picture(texture) into the UV-texture editor, or am i mistaking about how the UV-editor works?

Thx.

Well, first off, check both of the texturing tutorials. There is one on this site (free one) and there is one on Mckinley's site (another free one). They both cover what you need to know, some do certain things in more detail though, so I recomend checking them both out.

www.Mtmckinley.net (under tutorials -> modeling -> texturing polygons)
