Default fcheck issue

im trying to import a plain image to my scene so i went to file>import and i selected my picture but then i get some fcheck window. i wanted my picture to go straight into the scene but instead it went on some image editor. do u guys know how to bring the picture straight to the scene?

p.s.: i could use a plane and post an image file to it but i wanted to import the image just by itself.

tks for the help

You could select the camera you are going to use and in the attribute editor go down to environment and create an image plane then map the picture to that, that's much like creating a plane and assighning the texture to it though.

Is that what you where after,

Otherwise I haven't read anywhere where you could individually import them.
