Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

nice ship, groovy profile from the front user added image

tail looked a bit wierd (bendy) in the earlier post (top view) but you've sorted that out now.
If you flipped the top view 180 degrees and put a head on it you could make a character out of the shape user added image

Hey Dragonhawk

I like the design, but I think you need some hard edges on it, and some more surface details

hi i remodeled the shape...the wings on the end of the ship looked kinda wrong....i added some engines...what do you think about the model?

thx Jay for the tip!do you know some good reference where i can see what you mean??(For example i dont like the "neck" of the ship...i simple do not have an idea of what to model...I'd like to get some reference images if possible...would be happy!)

Do a google search for Star wars space craft for the detail bits
should do the trick

The Spitfire tutorial (which I downloaded at this site) is WELL WORTH IT and has all the tutorial info you'll need on creating a cockpit and canopy. A cockpit is a cockpit, whether on a Spitfire or Star Destroyer!

You'll probably want to add some hard edges in spots, and go to town creating a UV map for your ship.

May I say that it is an EXCELLENT design?! Looking forward to seeing the finished product...!

Carry on...
