Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Odd, the yeti :)

So I'm following the tutorial about the yeti. And i found out I want to call it Odd, after my dad. (His name is Odd). user added image

My yeti is gonna be abit more muscular, and have different face, and also have some adjustments to the hands and feets.

I have started on the 3rd part where i'm attaching the arms to the chest.

Is there any problems with this "set up" of polygons?

Hehe, no it's his real name user added image It's a norwegian name, (something norse, think it means sharp, like the thing on the front of an arrow).

Kinda funny, my dad works in a big company and have many international meetings etc..

For example:

"Hello I'm Even, Are you Odd?"
"Yes Hello, I'm Odd. Nice to meet you Even."

Note: Even is also a common norwegian name. Though I think the name "Odd" will become rarer in future, because we live in a globalized world.

Ps.
I got really lucky with combining legs and chest, I think. It looks really good user added image (hope it "binds" well, when i'm gonna rig it)

I not completely done shaping the legs, it needs some more tweaks.

Kurt had 3 toes and 4 fingers, but i wanted his body to look kinda humanoid user added image

I'm currently remaking the face, because I didn't get happy with the first. Soon gonna start on tutorial part 4 user added image But need to tweak the face abit more. I'm not happy with it user added image Though I want it to be abit more alien type... in a way...

(I have shorter arms than the tutorial)

The foot... got troubles sewing it up user added image

Because i don't know what type of polygon is best... If it matters that you have 4 edges going into each verticy, or if it's ok to have only 3 edges aslong as the polygons are 4 siders...

It was eigther this solution or having alot of the type of polygons below (which i try to illustrate with the "drawing")
Code:
      |
      |
-----X-------
     / \
    / \
   / \
  / \
 / \
X-----X-----X
| | |
